Title of Unit: “Is Quality Important?”
Awesome topic! Timely and authentic!

1) Where are students learning 21st century and higher-order thinking skills?
This topic is of vital concern. In fact if a student who participates in this unit becomes so interested in this topic they will work to improve the quality of our air, the teacher will feel successful and the world will be better for it.
2) Are there elements of a project-approach to learning? How does that approach appear to enhance student learning?
This is a great project, that not only impacts the community in which we live, but it has global implications. This project could be completed with students at a wide range of ages, with minor modifications. This could be easily converted into a global collaboration project with a classroom on the other side of the globe.
3) Do the facilitation materials or the student support materials help to facilitate a student-centered classroom?
Great use of the Visual Ranking Tool. Authentic pre and post assessment. It will be interesting to see how their ideas change over time.
I did not see these support materials. Perhaps they have not been linked to the wiki just yet. When they are I am sure they will be great, as the plan looks organized and well planned.

Ideas for Improvement
Check your formatting in the wiki. Some of the formatting does not copy nicely from the Word form to the wiki.

Google Searching- I have found that students can waste a lot of time searching for information on the Internet. You might want to consider creating a list of good sites for students to use after they try searching on their own in case they do not find the information they need.
